Deep in the hollows of Eastern Kentucky, Lies a 150-mile mainline that runs through the twists and curves of the mountains.
Running East/West direction, The CSX Riverton Sub was originally built by the C&O in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The route made its way through the hills to get to the rich coal fields.
Coal is king in this area. With many mines and twisting branches. This route offers over 200 track miles of endless Appalachian railroading.
Conway Southern travels south from Little Rock to Shepardsville on ex-L&N lines. Originally built in the early 1900s to 1910s. The Riverton Sub is complete with PTC signaling. While the Conway Sub still uses CTC Searchlight signaling.
Other things you can see around the route are logging, Crude Oil, the Whiskey Barrel Trade from the old Conway Staves, aggregates, Grains, and Intermodals.
While this is built as a CSX Route. You can run whatever you want. Let your imagination take over here in the mountains, On the Riverton Sub.

The Riverton Subdivision utilizes assets from across various sites. Most of the items used on the Route are DLS items. It's not required, but a first-class ticket is recommended to get all the assets downloaded in a timely matter.
